An unidentified man, armed with a knife, barged right into a home at Railla village in Sector 12 and took away jewelry value round Rs. 75,000 on the intervening evening of Thursday and Friday.
The incident befell round 2.30 am.
Rajesh Rao (40), a local of Jagadhri who lives in a rented lodging at Railla village, advised the police that the robber broke into their home from the rear facet door and entered the bed room. The complainant’s spouse went into the bed room solely to search out their almirah open.
Thereafter, she discovered a person hiding behind the curtains.
“As my spouse noticed the person carrying our jewelry field and a knife, she yelled. He instantly got here out and threatened her with the knife,” the complainant was quoted as saying within the FIR.
A case on this regard has been registered in opposition to the unidentified individual on the Sector 5 police station below Part 25 of the Arms Act and Sections 380 (theft in a dwelling home) and 458 (lurking home trespass or house-breaking by evening after preparation for harm, assault, or wrongful restraint) of the Indian Penal Code.
